Presidency of BiH demands identification of those responsible for budget not being proposed within the legal framework

(Patria) - The Presidency of BiH, at today's session, determined the Bill on the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024.

The Bill on the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024 will be submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for adoption under an urgent procedure.

The Presidency of BiH authorized the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Srđan Amidžić, to report on the Proposed Budget for 2024 in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH on behalf of the Presidency of BiH.

At today's session, the Presidency of BiH adopted a Conclusion tasking the Council of Ministers of BiH to, no later than 15 days from the adoption of this Conclusion, in cooperation with other competent bodies and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, submit a comprehensive report to the Presidency of BiH on the reasons for non-fulfillment of obligations established by law and other regulations in the procedures for drafting and adopting the law on the budget of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and international obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024.

The Presidency of BiH specifically requests the identification of responsible institutions and possibly individuals for the evident disregard of legally prescribed deadlines and non-compliance with legally foreseen procedures, which are necessary for the timely adoption of the law on the budget of BiH as one of the most important laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
