(Patria) - On April 8, 1992, the Presidency of BiH made a decision to declare an imminent danger of war.
The name Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was changed to the new state name - the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, writes Historija.ba.
Then, the Territorial Defence Headquarters was established and its official insignia was determined - a blue shield with golden lilies.
Colonel Hasan Efendić was appointed Commander of the Territorial Defence Headquarters, and Colonel Stjepan Šiber was appointed Chief of Staff. General Jovan Divjak was appointed Chief Operations Officer.
The Presidency also issued a Decree on the subordination of all BiH Territorial Defence units by April 15. Those who do not report by that date, it was stated, will be considered illegal units.
