Presidency of BiH accepts Transport Community Treaty, EC Questionnaire to be completed urgently

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's session adopted the Decision on accepting the Treaty on the Establishment of the Transport Community between the European Union and the signatory parties from Southeast Europe (Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Republic of Serbia and Kosovo), reports Patria News Agency.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded that the coordination regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina's participation within the Transport Community, as well as the adoption of stances and representation, will be agreed upon by the competent ministries of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Government of Republika Srpska, in accordance with constitutional competencies and the provisions arising from the Transport Community Treaty.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Council of Ministers' Report on activities within BiH's European integration process, particularly considering the completed and outstanding obligations related to the preparation of responses to the European Commission's Questionnaire. The Council of Ministers of BiH is tasked, in cooperation with the Government of Republika Srpska, the Government of the Federation of BiH, cantonal governments, and the Government of Brčko District, to undertake all necessary activities for the urgent submission of answers from point 1 of the European Commission's Questionnaire.

The Presidency of BiH took note of the financial reports of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina as of 30 June 2017.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina made decisions approving the conclusion of:

- A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Montenegro on cooperation in the field of agriculture and rural development,

- An agreement on the technical cooperation project "Strengthening Capacities for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction and Introduction of Climate Change Adaptation Practices in the Agriculture Sector in the Western Balkans".

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave approval for the conclusion of:

- A Memorandum of Understanding on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

- An Executive Program of Cultural Cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China for the period 2018-2021.
