(Patria) - At the proposal of BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović, the BiH Presidency adopted conclusions on BHRT at an emergency session. On Friday, 23 January 2026, Bećirović submitted a request for an emergency session of the BiH Presidency with a single agenda item: consideration of the critical financial situation of the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Željka Cvijanović voted against the conclusions.
The BiH Presidency adopted the following conclusions at the emergency session:
1. The BiH Presidency assesses that the current financial situation of the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) poses a threat to its survival. The critical financial situation is a consequence of violations of the Law on the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other related laws by the Public Radio-Television Service of Republika Srpska (RTRS).
2. The BiH Presidency calls on the Council of Ministers of BiH to urgently ensure consistent implementation of the Law on the Public Radio-Television System of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly regarding the distribution of collected RTV fees in accordance with the Law.
3. The BiH Presidency calls on the competent institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to immediately take all necessary measures within their jurisdiction to ensure the enforced collection of the debt in the amount of 103.5 million KM in favour of BHRT.
4. The BiH Presidency calls on the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and all other competent institutions to adopt urgent measures to secure intervention funds from appropriate available resources in order to prevent the cessation of BHRT's operations and ensure the continuation of its continuous functioning.
5. The BiH Presidency demands that the competent institutions urgently secure funds for the realisation of full rights arising from employment and based on employment for employees of the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with laws and other regulations.
6. These conclusions enter into force on the day of their adoption and shall be published in the Official Gazette of BiH.
