BiH Presidency: Our best athlete Amel Tuka spoke with Izetbegović

Member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović received BiH athlete Amel Tuka and representatives of the Athletics Federation of BiH, as well as the Mayor of Zenica Municipality Husejin Smajlović, today, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The meeting discussed the ever-improving results in BiH sports and the possibilities for their further advancement.

Izetbegović emphasized that the sporting successes of Amel Tuka are significant for our society as a whole, as well as for the further affirmation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international stage.

Congratulating Tuka on his exceptional performances so far in prestigious world athletics competitions, Izetbegović expressed satisfaction with the fact that BiH sports are in noticeable expansion and that our national representatives are achieving better and better results.

The meeting was also attended by the President of the Athletics Federation of BiH Suad Kaknjo, and the Mayor of Zenica Municipality Husejin Smajlović, who informed the member of the BiH Presidency about the activities being carried out in preparation for the World Athletics Championships in Beijing this year.

The interlocutors agreed that the successes of BiH athletes so far should serve as an additional motivation for institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide more significant support to top-level sports and athletes.
