
(Patria) - The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will consider the Draft Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2026 on Tuesday, June 2, Patria learns.
If there are no requests for specific corrections, and it is adopted as proposed, the Budget Proposal is forwarded to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for adoption. To enter into force, it must be adopted by both houses of the BiH PA in identical form.
The Council of Ministers of BiH unanimously established the Draft Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations of BiH for 2026 at its session on May 21.
Total revenues, receipts and financing of BiH institutions within the budget for 2026 amount to 1,580,500,000 BAM, which is an increase of 10 million BAM, or 1% compared to the budget of BiH institutions for 2025.
Revenues from indirect taxes are planned in the amount of 1,020,500,000 BAM and are at the level of revenues from the 2025 Budget.
Total expenditures of BiH institutions and servicing of external debt amount to 2,559,219,547 BAM and are lower by 238,053,469 BAM or 9% compared to 2025. Of this, expenditures of BiH institutions amount to 1,580,500,000 BAM, which is 1% more compared to 2025, while servicing of external debt amounts to 978,719,547 BAM and is reduced by 20%.
