AS Holding CEO Rusmir Hrvić visited INZ

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Rusmir Hrvić, President of the Management Board (CEO) of AS Holding, the largest food group in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Amela Semić, Director of the Directorate for Quality Assurance and Standardization/Internal Control within this group, visited the Institute for Health and Food Safety in Zenica (INZ) and discussed with the heads of INZ the past and potential future cooperation.

The Director of INZ, Senad Huseinagić, along with his associates, informed the guests about the current development, projections, and plans of INZ. The guests presented their path to success and leadership in BiH, and their plans to become one of the leaders in the food industry in Southeast Europe, as announced by INZ.

The group managed by AS Holding consists of 16 companies in the food, textile, and trade sectors, with a portfolio of over 2,000 products in about ten BiH cities and nearly 5,000 employees throughout FBiH.

On the other hand, INZ is a leader in the concept of "One Health" and the first unique health institution that cares for the health of plants, animals, and humans, and has recorded continuous growth in revenue, workspace, employees, and clients for four years.

"I am extremely pleased to have met a completely unconventional and unusual public institution, led and staffed by people who do not 'live off the budget' but rather research, explore, manage businesses, and care for health through a unique concept. I am convinced that I have sensed a great deal of entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, which, unfortunately, is characteristic only of the private sector," stated Hrvić.

INZ Director Senad Huseinagić emphasized that it is an honor and a pleasure that AS group members have recognized the methods and seriousness of work of all INZ capacities to date, and that they will approach every new joint project with particular seriousness, from laboratory services to scientific research.

"In the next phase of cooperation, it will be important to involve consumers, consumer associations, and the public, because it is very important for both domestic brands from the AS family and for us as an institution whose job is to control and care for the health of citizens, that our citizens receive timely and truthful information about the market situation, products sold below health standards and norms, and in contradiction with the declarations and contents being advertised. Then, citizens will also recognize the significance and quality of domestic products," stated Dr. Huseinagić.

Guests from AS Holding visited a part of INZ's accredited laboratory capacities, and after the tour, it was agreed that the existing cooperation and scope of work will be improved, increased, and expanded as soon as possible, for the benefit of end consumers.
