President of SDP in Velika Kladuša resigns, Adel Eskić also leaves positions in the Municipal Board of SDP

(Patria) - The president of the municipal board of SDP in Velika Kladuša and councilor in the municipal council of Velika Kladuša, Dr. Ibrahim Kajtazović, has resigned and left the party, about which he informed the cantonal board and the SDP headquarters in Sarajevo in a public statement.

The reason he cites is the recent events regarding the initiative to recall the mayor of Kladuša, Fikret Abdić, and the resignation from all positions in SDP is a direct consequence of his moral principles.

We recall, due to the absence of one SDP councilor at the municipal council session, the deadline for calling a referendum was missed after the councilors had already adopted the initiative to recall Mayor Fikret Abdić.

In the municipal council of Velika Kladuša and in SDP, by coincidence, there are two Ibrahim Kajtazovićs. One is Ibrahim Kajtazović, known as Bato, the councilor whose absence caused the recall to fail, and the other is Dr. Ibrahim Kajtazović, who has just resigned from SDP.

Dr. Kajtazović, as president of SDP, was not informed that his colleague in the council would do what he did, he is not satisfied with the explanations that followed, and he could no longer bear the pressure of public condemnation directed at him personally.

"I want to distance myself from the absence of our councilor, due to which there was no quorum," said Dr. Kajtazović, which is what the opposition in Kladuša expected from SDP USK, but they never did it.

In the Municipal Council, Dr. Kajtazović will continue to act as an independent representative.

Incidentally, Adel Eskić also resigned from all positions within the Municipal Board of SDP BiH Velika Kladuša.

"I call on the Cantonal Board of SDP BiH USK and SDP BiH not to remain silent on this disastrous policy and not to miss the opportunity to clearly distance themselves from the moves of individuals who are causing enormous damage to the reputation of SDP before it is too late," Eskić stated on Facebook.

"I personally remain loyal to the idea of social democracy and loyalty to SDP BiH, and I will wait for better times in the Velika Kladuša SDP," added Eskić.
