President of the Federation of BiH arrives in BiH, but 40 million for cantons still on hold!

President of the Federation of BiH Živko Budimir has returned from South Korea, but still has not signed the decision on the adopted budget rebalance, thereby blocking the funds, the BiH news agency Patria learns.

As is known, the rebalance of the FBiH budget for 2014, adopted on July 31 in the FBiH Parliament, planned an amount of 40 million KM for transfers of credit funds to the cantons, but when the money will be received is unknown, i.e., it obviously depends on Budimir's will. Namely, yesterday we wrote that due to Budimir's departure to South Korea, the further process regarding the distribution of funds for the flood-affected cantons was effectively blocked.

But today Budimir went a step further, stating that he will sign the decision on Monday (?).

- So, the president said he will sign the decision at the beginning of next week, which means that the cantons and the PIO will wait for the money for at least another ten days, because after it is published, the FBiH Government must also make a decision - says our source from the FBiH Government.

The absurdity of the situation is also shown by the fact that Budimir signed the Law on Budget Execution, which makes no sense without the budget.

Incidentally, this is not the first time Budimir has blocked the process regarding the adoption of certain laws, as was the case with the Law on Establishing a Fund for Assistance to Flood Victims in FBiH. At that time, Budimir justified himself by saying that the laws had not reached the Presidency of FBiH and that he would put his signature as soon as the documents arrived, enabling the publication of the law in the official gazette, writes Patria.
