President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz visited BiH

Members of the Collegium of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed the current political situation in our country and the region, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina's obligations on its European path, with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz in Sarajevo today, reports the Patria News Agency.

Assessing that the situation in our country, as well as in the entire Western Balkan region, is complex and difficult, the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina, like other countries in the region, has a clear European perspective and full support from the European Parliament and all other institutions of the European Union.

During the meeting, the announcement of a referendum in Republika Srpska was discussed, as well as the issue of economic improvement and solving unemployment, as one of the country's main problems, and Bosnia and Herzegovina's participation in the global coalition against terrorism.

Members of the Collegium of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly expressed their firm commitment to working on fulfilling reform obligations with the aim of our country, after the Stabilization and Association Agreement enters into force, fulfilling the conditions for obtaining candidate status for entry into the European Union as soon as possible, reports NAP.
