Presidential candidates vote at polling stations

ZAGREB, (Patria) - Presidential candidate Zoran Milanović (SDP) was verbally attacked today at the polling station where he cast his vote. During the argument with the man who attacked him, Milanović extended his hand, which the man refused. Milanović told the media who recorded the entire exchange that "this is not a coincidence." He called on voters to exercise their right to vote. He arrived at the polling station accompanied by his wife.

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović voted accompanied by her husband Jakov.

"Today is a day of pride, democracy is being celebrated. Every person is important and every vote is important. Today we decide what kind of Croatia we will have for the next five years. Let us build together a Croatia that will look forward, not backward," she said after voting.

The first results are expected at 8 p.m.
