Presiding Arbitrator Williamson concludes visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - During a three-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Clint Williamson, presiding
arbitrator of the Brčko Arbitration Tribunal, along with Louis Crishock, first deputy high representative/supervisor for Brčko District, met with the leadership of Brčko District, members of the Presidency of BiH Željko Cvijanović, Željko Komšić, and Denis Bećirović, with representatives of EUFOR and NATO, with the president of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Seada Palavrić, and with representatives of the international community to discuss the current political situation in BiH and the respect for the Final Award for Brčko.

Regarding the Tribunal's actions, the presiding arbitrator stated that he would not enter into any discussions about possible outcomes.

In discussions with all interlocutors, the presiding arbitrator emphasized that the arbitration process for Brčko and the Final Award are inviolable, and that all parties must consistently respect the provisions of the Award, including providing support to state institutions on which Brčko District relies for its stability and security.
