Predrag Kojović: Unacceptable for fascist organizations to operate in our country

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - President of Our Party Predrag Kojović strongly condemned the re-assembly of members of the Ravna Gora Chetnik movement from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Višegrad, and also demanded that authorities finally put an end to it.

"It is unacceptable that fascist organizations continue to operate in our country and organize such grotesque shows, in addition to the fact that citizens of this country daily suffer war-mongering rhetoric and destructive nationalist politics that create a sense of insecurity, mass poverty, and the exodus of young people from the country. Chetnik parades year after year in cities where monstrous war crimes were committed under those same symbols are pathological, fascist behavior, not the right to freedom of speech, and are banned in all democratic, advanced societies," said Kojović, as reported by N1.

The President of Our Party believes that any future government that wants to present itself as a pro-European political force must legally sanction this and similar groups regardless of ethnic and religious affiliation or non-affiliation.

"Our Party proposed a draft law more than a year ago in the Federal Parliament that would sanction such manifestations of hatred, but after the adoption of the draft in the House of Representatives of the FBiH, the SDA and HDZ removed this law from the procedure. It is probably clear to them, and now to the majority of citizens, that they benefit from such behavior not being sanctioned because they survive politically precisely thanks to such inter-ethnic provocations. Therefore, I do not expect them to do it, but the introduction and adoption of a law that would stop such things is a deal-breaker for us with partners with whom we plan to form the executive government after the 2018 elections. I hope that citizens will give us the strength with their votes in the elections to once and for all send fascism of this or any other type to the dustbin of history where it has belonged since 1945," concluded Kojović in his reaction, as reported by NAP.
