Case 'Karišik and others': Detention proposed for Muris Bešlagić

(Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has submitted a proposal to the Court of BiH for the detention of the suspect Muris Bešlagić (1977), born in Zenica, residing in Lukavac, a citizen of BiH.

Bešlagić is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH within the case with evidence from Sky and Anom applications, codenamed “Plaza” (Elmedin Karišik et al.) and is suspected of organized crime and money laundering offenses, related to the illegal import of a larger amount of cash (at least 1.5 million euros) from abroad into BiH.

According to the collected evidence, the money originates from the commission of criminal offenses related to international trafficking of large quantities of narcotics, and after being brought into BiH, it was used to enter the payment system through legal entities – companies, connected with the suspects in this case.

After the submission of the detention proposal, a hearing was held in the afternoon at the Court of BiH, at which the acting prosecutor detailed the reasons for the detention proposal, it was announced from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
