Detention requested for Muhamed Hasić for fighting for ISIL

(Patria) - After the suspect, who spent several years on foreign battlefields in Syria and Iraq, within the structures of the so-called ISIL, was extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, he was handed over to the BiH Prosecutor's Office within the legal deadline, where he was questioned, after which detention was proposed.

According to the collected evidence, the suspect Muhamed Hasić (1990) stayed in the territory of Syria and Iraq for several years, within the structures that the UN Security Council declared a terrorist organization.

After the defeat of the so-called ISIL structures, the mentioned suspect hid for a longer period in Turkey, where, through the work of the prosecutor's office and partner institutions and agencies, he was located, identified, and subsequently extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office and the Department for Terrorism continue to prosecute the suspect.
