Before Pope Francis' visit: Vilić asked Lukač to suspend Andžić

 

Long-time employee of the Federal Police Administration Joza Andžić was removed from the position of security manager of the Zetra complex on June 5 at 11 PM by FUP Director Dragan Lukač, writes the Patria news agency.  

Andžić, in preparations for the reception of Pope Francis who visited Sarajevo on June 6, as a long-time member of the police forces with extensive experience in organizing such events, was assigned to the position of security manager of Zetra, which housed the press center for more than 1,300 journalists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire world.

However, on June 5, just ten hours before the arrival of Pope Francis, when all preparations had already been completed, he was abruptly removed.

Lukač received a letter from the director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Vilić, who, among other things, wrote that Andžić was uncooperative and unwilling to cooperate.

Since then, up to the present day, an internal investigation against Andžić has been ongoing.
