Continuation of the interrupted session of the House of Peoples at the end of May, with HDZ's amendments to the Election Law on the extensive agenda

(Patria) - The continuation of the 16th session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, interrupted on April 24, has been scheduled for May 29, starting at 12:00 PM in Sarajevo. The agenda includes 53 items, with a large number of sub-items.

Among other things, the agenda includes a request from delegate Marina Pendeš (HDZ BiH) for the Bill on Amendments to the BiH Election Law to be considered under an urgent procedure.

The proposed amendments concern the election of members of the BiH Presidency and the BiH Central Election Commission.

The request from the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament for the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions to be considered under an urgent procedure should also be considered.

This legal proposal, proposed by MP Marinko Čavara (HDZ BiH), was previously adopted by the House of Representatives.

It provides for an amendment according to which "the Ministry of Finance and Treasury ensures cash for the payment of salaries and other employee benefits in cases where payment is impossible through a current account, and the aforementioned is not based on a final court, administrative, or other decision of a competent authority, and for the payment of travel expenses and other minor material costs".

Delegates should also consider the principles of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of BiH, proposed by delegate Džemal Smajić (SBiH), as well as the principles of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Financing of Political Parties, proposed by delegate Zlatko Miletić.

The principles of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Fees, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, should also be on the agenda.

Among the proposed laws that delegates should consider is the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax of BiH.

The request from the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament for the consideration of the Bill on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH under an urgent procedure should also be presented to the delegates.

The last two items are the Proposal of the Decision on the dismissal of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Srđan Amidžić, and the Proposal of the Decision on the dismissal of the Chairperson/First Deputy Chairperson/Second Deputy Chairperson of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Nikola Špirić.

The proposers of these items are delegates Nenad Vuković, Želimir Nešković, Ilija Cvitanović, Zlatko Miletić, and Kemal Ademović.

These two items were also on the agenda of today's emergency session of the House of Peoples. However, SNSD delegates from the Club of the Serb People, Sredoje Nović, Radovan Kovačević, and Nikola Špirić, once again "saved" their officials in the House of Peoples and the Council of Ministers of BiH from discussing their dismissal by leaving the session at the very beginning, thus leaving the House without a quorum to work.
