Much work awaits state ministers, they have an extraordinary and then a regular session

(Patria) - Two sessions of the Council of Ministers of BiH - extraordinary and regular - will be held in Sarajevo today, starting at 11:00 AM.

State ministers are expected to consider the Draft Law on Border Control, proposed by the Ministry of Security of BiH, as well as the new text of the Draft Law on Personal Data Protection, proposed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

They will also consider the Information on the situation in the area of migration in BiH for the first nine months of 2024, as well as the Information on the allocation and use of current reserve funds for the period January-September 2024.

On the agenda are also the Proposal of the Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy of BiH for the period 2023-2026, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on the Adoption of the BiH Anti-Mine Action Strategy, a revised document for the period 2025-2027:

Ministers will also consider the Proposal of the Decision on approving the multi-year project of co-financing demining costs in BiH for the period 2025-2027.

Following the extraordinary session, a regular session will be held, with the new text of the Proposal of the Decision on giving consent to the Program for Marking Significant Dates in the Field of Human Rights in BiH Institutions for 2024, along with the mentioned program, on its agenda, among other things.

The new text of the Proposal of the Decision on establishing a Working Group for the preparation of a transition plan proposal in migration management and temporary reception centers from international organizations to BiH institutions should also be considered.

The consideration of the Report on the Execution of the BiH Institutions' Budget and BiH's International Obligations for the period January-September 2024 is also foreseen.

Ministers are expected to consider the Information on the implementation of the initiative of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, which tasks the Council of Ministers of BiH with making a decision on verifying the diplomas of all employees in state institutions in terms of controlling the validity of diplomas in accordance with legal regulations in the field of education.
