Holiday Weekend: Long Vehicle Queues at Border Crossings

(Patria) - The holiday weekend has brought congestion at border crossings on both exit and entry into BiH, with long queues of vehicles at Izačić, Hadžin Potok, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Gradiška, Brod, Kostajnica, Dubica, Svilaj and Orašje. At other border crossings, passenger vehicles are not waiting longer than 30 minutes.

On roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is moving on wet and locally slippery road surfaces. Trampled or slushy snow, as well as ice on the road, is present in shaded parts of higher areas, and in lower areas on bridges, viaducts and tunnel approaches.

Strong wind is creating snowdrifts and hindering traffic in the wider area of: Livno, Tomislavgrad, Glamoč and Bosansko Grahovo.

We appeal to drivers to be cautious and to adhere to all traffic regulations. Do not set out on the road without appropriate winter equipment.

Traffic is banned for freight motor vehicles on the roads:

- Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar-Bosansko Grahovo,
- Glamoč-Mlinište and
- Drvar-Glamoč.

On the regional road route Karanovac – Kneževo, the road is passable up to the village of Vidovo Vrelo, but further on to Kneževo driving is not recommended, as well as on the road route Kneževo – Ugar. Due to high interest in the road route Banja Luka-ski center Babanovac, we recommend using the road route Banja Luka-Jajce-Donji Vakuf-Turbe – Babanovac.
