Holiday talks by the Christmas tree: Čović gathers representatives of the 'Trojka' in his office, intensifying negotiations on the Election Law

(Patria) - Representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by President Dragan Čović, today organized a meeting with representatives of partner parties from the Federation of BiH in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

According to the party, in addition to President Čović, the meeting was attended by Deputy President Borjana Krišto and Vice President Darijana Filipović, as well as Elmedin Konaković, President of NIP, Saša Magazinović, Elvir Karajbić from SDP, Predrag Kojović and Sabina Ćudić from Naša stranka.

The gathered political officials expressed a clear commitment to continuing talks and accelerating efforts to reach an agreement on amendments to the BiH Election Law in the spirit of fulfilling the 14 key priorities. It was agreed that political dialogue will be further intensified in the next two months with the aim of reaching a final agreement.

Furthermore, the representatives spoke about the readiness to take steps to adopt the Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's International Obligations for 2024 by the end of 2023, emphasizing the importance of stable institutional functioning, fulfilling international obligations, and participating in funds allocated by the European Union to BiH.

Finally, the officials highlighted their readiness to adopt the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities through an urgent parliamentary procedure, which had previously received the necessary support from the Council of Ministers.
