Praštalo spoke with Hadžikadić about the social convention on the EU future of BiH

(Patria) - The President of the European Movement in BiH, Predrag Praštalo and associates, continued the dialogue with political parties regarding the initiation of a general socio-political dialogue „Convention of society on the EU future of Bosnia and Herzegovina“. On that occasion, Praštalo spoke in Sarajevo with Mirsad Hadžikadić, the president of the „Platform for Change“, during which he presented the project of the European Movement, which should come to life as part of the marking of the „EU Days and Months in BiH“ in May 2021.

On that occasion, it was stated that the project will deal solely and exclusively with the 14 questions and opinions of the European Union regarding the candidate status and future of BiH, as a potential EU member. The President of the EM informed the host that all pro-European political groups (EPP, SDE, ALDA...) - members of the European Parliament, are also collective members of the European Movement International (EMI) with headquarters in Brussels, which symbolizes „European unity“.

The European Movement in BiH calls on all pro-European parties in our country, and especially those that are members of the aforementioned political groups (which are represented in the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg) to join and, concretely and not declaratively, as has mostly and very often been the case so far, we talk openly and clearly with all segments of society (local communities, cantons, entities, state level, economic entities, VTK and chambers of commerce, media...) about the European future of the BiH community and society as a whole.

The president of the „Platform for Change“, Mirsad Hadžikadić, welcomed the initiative of the European Movement, and said that he will inform the party leadership about the conversation and meeting with the president of the organization.

He added that their party is multi-ethnic, that as a political debutant, they achieved a more than good result in the recent local elections with 22 council seats, that they are already seriously preparing for the general elections in 2022, whereby he expects the party to gain even more momentum, and that our society has no other future besides EU and Euro-Atlantic integrations, so they will certainly advocate for the „Platform for Progress“ to join the convention and social dialogue on the EU future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On Monday, representatives of the European Movement in BiH will visit Herzegovina, where they will tour some of the partner local communities and speak with party leaders.
