Ivanković-Lijanović calls on politicians to use public transport in Sarajevo

Founder of the party Work for Betterment Jerko Ivanković Lijanović called on representatives of the Government, the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton and members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to use public city transport in the coming days, Patria reports.

''The decision of the Sarajevo Canton Government to introduce the odd-even system, today in the 21st century, is confirmation of the incompetence of those people who decide on the lives of the citizens of Sarajevo and all those outside this Canton.

This is an opportunity for all citizens to unitedly oppose such leadership of those who manipulated them into electing them and to change this situation now and forever.

If the authorities do not understand and respect the needs of their residents, then those residents should never respect them again.

Therefore, I call on all representatives of the authorities in the Sarajevo Canton, starting from the Prime Minister, to every deputy, as well as members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina who will have to get to the Presidency building in the city center for work, to, in the coming days, until further notice, show solidarity with their residents and commute to their workplaces, meetings, sessions using city transport, trams, trolleybuses and buses.

Also, in the same way they will refund costs for free rides on public transport in the coming days, let them organize refunding half of the registration fee for every car owner if they are already not capable of producing more realistic, practical and innovative solutions as soon as possible, Ivanković Lijanović said.
