(Patria) - Fires on Mount Konjuh in Kladanj have been brought under control, authorities claim.
However, the fire is still smoldering in inaccessible locations, and wind threatens to worsen the situation.
Response teams have been on the ground since yesterday, and a helicopter from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina has also been deployed.
It is still uncertain when the fires on Konjuh will be completely extinguished, but the most important thing is that they are currently under control and without risk of further spread, authorities say.
Near the 'Muška voda' complex, according to preliminary estimates, at least 50 hectares of forest have burned. The responsible company says the complex is no longer threatened. Following yesterday's request, a helicopter from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina was deployed during the day. Nearly 200 people fought the fire late into the night, and continued today.
Authorities confirm that a lightning strike caused three fires, and they appeal to citizens to be patient for a few days due to the smoke spreading to the municipal center. They hope that everything will be completely extinguished soon.
