SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power arrived in Sarajevo this evening, where she will stay for the next two days. Power posted an emotional message on Twitter, followed by numerous welcome comments for the former resident of Sarajevo.
"I just landed in BiH, a stunning country where I lived as a journalist in the 1990s. I am glad to have returned this time as USAID administrator, to reaffirm the strong partnership between the United States and the people of BiH. Much more to come," Power stated.
As announced by USAID, during her stay in BiH, Power will reaffirm the United States' commitment to partnering with the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on their path to building a democratic and prosperous future in a stable and functional state.
Tomorrow morning, Power will meet with three former prisoners of war, today leaders of the reconciliation process, and will also address the media at Baščaršija.
