Power held a meeting with members of the BiH Presidency

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power held a meeting today with members of the BiH Presidency, attended by all three members Željko Komšić, Šefik Džaferović, and Milorad Dodik.

The US Ambassador Eric Nelson was also with Power.

The meeting discussed the current political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and bilateral relations and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USA. The members of the BiH Presidency thanked the Government of the United States of America for its continuous support and assistance on Bosnia and Herzegovina's reform path. They welcomed the numerous projects that the US Government is implementing through USAID to provide assistance to all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Administrator Power emphasized the strong commitment and support of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina in combating corruption, advancing democratic reforms and the rule of law, and creating new economic opportunities for the citizens of BiH. She reiterated the partnership role of the USA and the continuation of long-standing cooperation in building a prosperous future in a functional Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson, USAID Acting Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Margot Ellis, and USAID Mission Director in BiH Courtney Chubb.
