Injured worker Nevzet Halilović receives 1,000 KM aid from Centar Municipality

Representatives of the Centar Municipality, led by Nedžad Ajnadžić, President of the Municipal Council, visited on February 5, 2015, the seriously injured worker Nevzet Halilović who is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (KCUS), reports Patria agency.

Nevzet Halilović sustained severe injuries after scaffolding and formwork collapsed from a building under construction. At that time, workers Enes and Razim Halilović from Tešanj died.

During this visit, President Ajnadžić presented the injured Nevzet with 1,000 KM as one-time aid from the Centar Municipality. The decision to grant financial aid to Nevzet, as well as to the families of the deceased workers Enes and Razim Halilović, was made by the Centar Municipal Council. At the last session of the Municipal Council, this decision was made at the proposal of the Club of Independent Councilors and their leader Haris Fazlagić.

- We wish our Nevzet a speedy recovery and a return to his regular duties. Today's visit is a gesture of goodwill, understanding, and solidarity that the Municipal Council and Mayor Dževad Bećirević show in difficult situations. We are the first delegation from a state body to visit the injured Halilović. We want the competent court and prosecutor's office to determine responsibility for this tragic event in Hiseta Street - said Ajnadžić.

Nevzet Halilović, who suffered spinal and chest injuries, thanked them for the visit and said he felt better. The information about the injured worker's successful recovery was also confirmed by Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović, Head of the Orthopedics Clinic at KCUS.

- The medical council decided that surgery is not necessary for my recovery. It is planned that I will try to stand on my feet during the day. I thank you for the attention you have shown me, and I am especially pleased that Nedžad Ajnadžić, who was my division commander in Tešanj during the past war, visited me - said Halilović.

At the end of the visit, Ajnadžić offered Nevzet assistance with going to rehabilitation in one of the healing spas and announced that the delegation from the Centar Municipality plans to visit the families of the deceased workers in Tešanj.

Today's visit was carried out by Ajnadžić with municipal councilors Zora Ostojić and Suvad Kerlo, and the Assistant to the Mayor of Centar Municipality for Labor, Health, and Social Affairs, Osm Babić.
