Young man and minor injured, reckless driver hit them twice with car

On Tuesday, a traffic accident occurred in the Buča Potok settlement, which, after the circumstances were clarified, was classified as attempted murder, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Namely, as stated in the report of the MUP KS on 29.11.2016 at 15:25, the III Police Station was informed by the dispatcher of the Emergency Medical Service of Sarajevo Canton that in Trebinjska Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, there were two persons who sustained injuries from being hit by a passenger motor vehicle of unknown make and registration plates.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found the injured persons and determined that they were T.V., born in 1989 in Sarajevo, and minor A.A., born in 2001 in Sarajevo, where they reside. The injured were transported to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, where doctors diagnosed T.V. with severe bodily injuries, while A.A. sustained minor bodily injuries.

In an interview conducted, they stated that they were walking along Adema Buče Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, and were hit by a passenger motor vehicle, a gray "Opel Astra" with unknown registration plates, driven by an unknown driver, with an unknown female person also in the vehicle. On that occasion, a verbal conflict arose between T.V. and the unknown persons, after which the driver hit T.V. and the minor A.A. with the front of the vehicle, and then the persons drove away in an unknown direction.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed, and an investigation was conducted by police officers of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton. Working on clarifying the aforementioned criminal offense, on 30.11.2016, police officers of the III Police Station deprived H.A., born in 1982 in Sarajevo, where he resides, of his liberty due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense under Article 166, in conjunction with Article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Attempted Murder). Based on a court order, a passenger motor vehicle of the make "Opel Astra" was temporarily seized from him. Police officers, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, continue to work on fully clarifying and documenting the described criminal offense.
