A fan of the football club Željezničar was injured today around 3:20 PM during the match between Željezničar and Olimpik, played at Grbavica Stadium, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
The unfortunate 26-year-old young man fell from a several-meter-high railing of the southern stand onto a concrete slab. Witnesses claim he fell on his head and sustained serious injuries.
From the Cantonal Ministry of Interior, it was confirmed to Patria that they received a report about the injured young man, but they still do not have additional information. The fan was transferred to the Emergency Medicine Clinic of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS).
Spokesperson of the Clinical Center, Muamera Šehić, confirmed to Patria that the young man was admitted to KCUS, that contusions were diagnosed, and that he was kept in the hospital.
