(Patria) - Driving conditions are favourable, and given that it is the holiday season, BIHAMK urges drivers to carefully plan longer trips in accordance with weather conditions. There is increased vehicle frequency towards the south of our country, as well as at border crossings.
This morning, there is increased vehicle traffic at the border crossings: Izačić, Hum and Deleuša on the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is flowing with short waiting times.
Due to repair works on sections of the main roads Vitez-Travnik and Brčko-Cerik, the traffic regime has been changed. Due to the highly frequented section, long queues of vehicles are forming in both directions at the construction site, so we ask drivers for patience and understanding.
On the main road Rogatica-Ustiprača, due to bridge damage, vehicles up to 30 tonnes are using one lane, while traffic for vehicles over 30 tonnes is suspended.
Repair works are ongoing on the main roads: Kladanj-Vlasenica, Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Foča-Ustikolina, Dobro Polje-Miljevina and Bijeljina-Rača.
Until the end of August, the border crossing Krstac (on the Gacko-Nikšić road) is open for passenger traffic.
Traffic is banned for vehicles over 5 tonnes maximum permissible mass at the border crossing Karakaj (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tonnes are being redirected to the border crossings Bratunac or Rača, while buses may use the border crossing Šepak.
