Chief of the General Staff of the Hungarian Armed Forces, General Tibor Benke, stated that the number of Hungarian soldiers in Kosovo and Metohija and in Bosnia and Herzegovina will increase as these forces leave Afghanistan, reports the BiH news agency Patria. He said that a strong and stable Balkans is needed, which is important for both Hungary and Serbia, where he stayed yesterday.
Benke held a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army, General Ljubiša Diković.
Otherwise, a contingent of Hungarian soldiers arrived at the EUFOR base in Butmir in July 2013.
