Increased Number: 701 First-Graders Enrolled in Eleven Schools

In the first grade of the 2014/2015 school year, 701 first-graders (born 2008/2009) were enrolled in 11 elementary schools in the Centar municipality. 649 were enrolled in the April intake, and an additional 52 first-graders in the August intake. The number of enrolled students in this school year is 17.5% higher compared to the 2013/2014 school year when 578 students were enrolled, it was announced by the Centar Municipality, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

This year, the largest number of children were enrolled in the Catholic School Center Elementary School - 145, followed by the schools "Isak Samokovlija" – 98 and "Musa Ćazim Ćatić" – 90. "Alija Nametak" Elementary School has 79 first-graders, "Safvet-beg Bašagić" school has 66, and "Nafija Sarajlić" Elementary School has 60. In the first grade of this school year, 48 students were enrolled in "Mehmed-beg Kapetanović Ljubušak" Elementary School, 36 in "Silvije Strahimir Kranjčević" school, 33 in "Hasan Kaimija" Elementary School, and 28 in "Hasan Kikić" school, while "Vladislav Skarić" Elementary School enrolled the smallest number of first-graders – 18.

Out of the total number of enrolled children in elementary schools in Centar, 340 are girls and 361 are boys.
