Number of patients increases, weather remains potentially dangerous in BiH

Weather conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been changeable for some time, and despite high temperatures in the afternoon hours, heavy showers accompanied by thunder occur, writes the news agency Patria. As today, sunny and hot weather is expected tomorrow, with local showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

- Saturday morning will be mostly sunny. In the rest of the day, gradual cloudiness from the northwest, locally accompanied by light rain or short showers. Daytime temperatures will range from 23 to 32 degrees – said the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.

Sunday will be cloudy with rain, showers and thunderstorms.

- Expected precipitation amounts over 24 hours in eastern and western areas from 15 to 25, and in the rest of the country from 3 to 10 l/m2 – added the Institute.

Incidentally, a yellow meteoalarm is still in effect, indicating potentially dangerous weather. As confirmed for NAP, due to weather fluctuations, the number of patients in the Emergency Department has increased.

- Most often, chronic patients whose health is threatened by weather fluctuations come in. We still advise elderly people and chronic patients not to go outside unnecessarily – said the Emergency Department of the Sarajevo Canton.
