Appointment of FTV Management Board confirmed: Zoran Krešić gets his seat despite calls to 'destroy the Federation'

(Patria) - The House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH confirmed tonight Zoran Krešić, Adnan Huskić, Daniela Gogić, and Medina Mujić as members of the Management Board (MB) of RTV FBiH.

Krešić was appointed for a one-year term, Huskić for a two-year term, Gogić for three, and Mujić for four years. It was decided that Daniela Gogić would be the president of the RTV FBiH MB.

In the initial vote, the Decision on the appointment of MB members of RTV FBiH was supported by 42 delegates, with 15 against and no abstentions. This was followed by an individual vote, which showed 45 delegates in favor, 23 against, and one abstention.

The vote was preceded by a heated debate, writes Faktor.

Delegate Muamer Zukić stated that a person was appointed (alluding to Krešić) who said that the Federation should be destroyed.

- And now we are giving an opportunity to such a person who openly announced the destruction of the Federation. And the person comes to the media and says, 'UZP was sentenced to 13 months, only in nine municipalities too'.

He relativizes to that extent. This is problematic for Bosniaks, but also for all peoples. Croats could have had a better candidate who could have been supported. We are giving the public service mechanisms to someone like that - Zukić stated, among other things.

Aida Obuća, a delegate from the Bosniak Caucus, said that many independent intellectuals warned that 'what was done in the House of Representatives should not happen in the House of Peoples of FBiH'.

- It is the public service of all citizens, and it is in their interest that it is not under political control - Obuća said.

Delegate Emir Dautović asked to speak to explain, as he said, why he would support the election of the RTV FBiH MB.

- Federal Television has been operating without a Management Board for 13 years. I believe it is my civic duty to respect everything where there are more laws - he said, adding that he was aware that they would not elect something ideal today, but rather the 'lesser evil'.

President of the Croat Caucus Damir Džeba, speaking about the recording where Zoran Krešić mentions the destruction of the Federation, said that 'most deputies are reacting to a manipulated recording'.

- A manipulated recording by a petty journalist, who edited it from four different shows about the so-called destruction of the Federation. The context was given after Željko Komšić was elected for the third time by Bosniak votes, and Krešić explained it in that context - Džeba said.

Haris Zahiragić replied, stating that Sanel Kajan, whom he called a petty journalist, was a 'great journalist compared to Krešić'.
