17 new cases of coronavirus infection confirmed in Sarajevo Canton

(Patria) - According to data from the Institute of Public Health, 17 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton in the past 24 hours.

Of this number, 11, or 64.70 percent, belong to family clusters or are contacts of previously ill individuals, and have been in self-isolation since before.

From the last report until this morning, results arrived for 201 tested individuals, whose samples were collected in the period from September 15 to 19, 2020.

At the same time, 13 people have recovered, so the number of active coronavirus infection cases is currently 256.

32 people are hospitalized in the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, and all are vitaly stable.

Unfortunately, one person has died, which increases the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection to 79.

To date, 4,438 infected individuals have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of which 4,103 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from September 6 to 20 this year, 643 self-isolation orders were issued by the inspection, based on the recommendations of epidemiologists or the decisions of the KS Ministry of Health.
