(Patria) - The Court of BiH yesterday confirmed the indictment against Elvis Keljmendi (Ellvis Kelmendi) and Ajlin Ahmić, who are charged with drug trafficking.
In addition to drug trafficking, Keljmendi is charged with causing general danger, damaging property, and unauthorized acquisition and sale of weapons.
Keljmendi and Ahmić, along with M.V., A.F., R.G., and other unidentified persons, from August 2019 to March 2021, on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Albania, "engaged in unauthorized acquisition, trafficking, sale, and transfer of narcotic drugs," the indictment states.
It is emphasized that they resold drugs in BiH, using the Sky application for mutual communication, intended for "achieving protected and encrypted communication".
It is added that on March 12, 2020, in Sarajevo, Keljmendi instructed a person identified as M.V. to set fire to a BMW X6 vehicle owned by A.S., after which the fire spread to nearby vehicles, which were completely destroyed.
Keljmendi was arrested on July 12, 2022, in the "Rez" operation, along with Ahmić and Anel Sejfović. Several other individuals were arrested with them, but have since been released.
In October of that year, the Court of BiH ordered him to house arrest.
He was previously arrested in Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro on suspicion of committing several criminal offenses. He was arrested in Belgrade for domestic violence and illegal weapons.
Elvis is the son of Naser Keljmendi, a BiH citizen whom the US Department of the Treasury identified as a drug trafficker back in 2021, and who was convicted and acquitted of drug trafficking charges in Kosovo.
In 2013, Montenegro declared the Keljmendi family – Naser and his sons Elvis, Besnik, Liridon, their half-brother Bećir, and cousin Redžep Keljmendi – undesirable and banned them from entering the country due to a threat to national security.
