Names of Ministers and Deputies Confirmed, Remaining Three Names to be Known Over the Weekend

At today's session of the SDA Presidency, the names of candidates for ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH, deputies, and three out of six for the FBiH Government were confirmed, while the remaining three will be harmonized over the weekend when the SDA Personnel Commission convenes, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

It is known that these three candidates (for the Ministry of Trade and Development, Education and Science, and for Veterans and War Disabled Affairs, which will be harmonized with DF) will be from Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj, and Herzegovina-Neretva cantons.

Council of Ministers of BiH

Former Sarajevo Mayor Semiha Borovac will be the Minister of Human Rights and Refugees in the Council of Ministers of BiH, and Adil Osmanović will be the Minister of Civil Affairs. Nezir Pivić will be the Deputy Minister of Justice, and Mirsad Žuga will be the Deputy Minister of Finance.

FBiH Government

At the FBiH level, Aljoša Čampara will be the Minister of Internal Affairs, and Edin Ramić will be the Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees. Šemsudin Dedić will head the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry.

Bakir Izetbegović, SDA Vice-President, stated that the names of ministers in the Council of Ministers and the FBiH Government have been confirmed, explaining that the Minister of Trade and Development, Minister of Education and Science, and Minister for Veterans and War Disabled Affairs have not yet been selected for the FBiH Government.

- We finally reached an agreement yesterday, and now we need to establish the FBiH Government and the Council of Ministers of BiH, if possible, next week, and by the end of the month at the latest - Izetbegović said.

He added that the ministers in the FBiH Government were voted on unanimously, while there was one vote against for the Council of Ministers, adding that the public is unnecessarily creating an impression that SDA has fared "poorly" in these negotiations.

- I will note that SDA had one minister less in the Council of Ministers led by Adnan Terzić, as well as in the FBiH Government headed by Nedžad Branković. Therefore, the story that we fared poorly is not true - Izetbegović said.
