Spent 300,000 BAM on a celebration, but Bosnia has yet to take full control of its airspace!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Saša Magazinović, SDP delegate in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the discussion on questions posed to institutions, referred to a statement issued last year by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA). 

It was reported that the team had successfully completed the transition process for area control of air traffic above 10,000 meters. From a technical standpoint, as confirmed, everything went smoothly with excellent cooperation with neighbors from control centers in Zagreb and Belgrade.

“At that time, that party costing 300,000 BAM plus VAT took place. And somehow, due to BHANSA's extravagance, the essence of whether we have taken full control of the airspace was pushed into the background. Besides the need to condemn that shameful spending of money, I also asked what we were celebrating. From BHANSA's response, it is clear that we have not fully taken over the airspace. 

It clearly shows what we control, what Croatia controls, and what Serbia controls. It states that capital investments are planned and that it will be necessary to train personnel, so we will seek a new simulation in which we will prove that we are capable of taking over control.

So, the takeover of control over a part of the airspace was celebrated, and 300,000 BAM was spent. A colleague from Mostar told me, 'Lucky they didn't take over the entire sky, otherwise 500,000 BAM wouldn't have been enough for the party,'” said Magazinović.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) paid 299,350.00 BAM excluding VAT for that party.

The money was paid to the company DD Marketing doo Mostar, which won the tender in which two other companies participated. The ceremony, held at the Radobolja summer residence in Mostar on December 6, exuded abundance reminiscent of royal courts. Numerous guests, mostly from the public and political life of our country, could enjoy performances by, among others, Halid Bešlić, Nina Badrić, and Aleksandra Radović. The program was hosted by popular TV personality Tarik Filipović.
