Vacant spaces needed for rent and accommodation of evacuated residents of Bare

Following the tragedy that befell the Bare settlement in Kakanj, where one person died and several were injured in a landslide, many had to leave their homes, and the Municipality of Kakanj is calling on everyone who has vacant space for rent to come forward, reports Patria News Agency.

Geologists from the Federal Geological Institute are present in Bare today, and tomorrow a joint meeting of all geologists engaged in Kakanj will be held, where preliminary findings and guidelines are expected to be presented.

The Civil Protection Service has received 15 offers for apartment rentals. All offers are forwarded to families who have lost their homes due to the landslide in Bare or have been evacuated for safety reasons. The Municipality of Kakanj will pay all endangered families 300 KM today to cover rent for two months, with the possibility of extension until a permanent solution is found.

- We call on the citizens of Kakanj who have accommodation capacity available for rent to contact the Civil Protection Service at phone number 032/554 600 in order to accommodate families who have lost their homes. Accommodation costs will be paid - it was announced on the official website of the Municipality of Kakanj.

The Municipality of Kakanj expresses interest in purchasing vacant residential buildings - houses in the entire area of the Municipality of Kakanj, for the purpose of social housing and housing care for families who have lost their homes due to the landslide in Bare. MDD "Merhamet" Sarajevo will deliver packages with food items to families endangered by the landslide in Bare at 1:00 PM today to the premises of its basic board in Kakanj. The distribution of packages to the beneficiaries will be carried out by the Municipality of Kakanj.
