SDP Vice-President Zukan Helez Demands Higher Pensions and Less Fear in BiH

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDP Vice-President Zukan Helez stated that Milorad Dodik's policies cause the greatest damage to "people in Republika Srpska", reports Patria.

In an interview for Alta TV, Helez reminded that the lowest pension in that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is 175 KM, while in the Federation of BiH the lowest pension is twice as high.

"He simply scares people," said Helez, referring to how Dodik manages to win elections even though people in Republika Srpska live in a rather difficult environment.

Helez stated that he is not satisfied that Republika Srpska exists, but said that it is a fact and that no one will touch RS as such, and in return expects Dodik not to harm Bosnia and Herzegovina either. If he doesn't like BiH, Helez said, Dodik can leave the country, but he cannot take any part of BiH with him.

"They take him there to Serbia, parade him around like a bear, he says he doesn't love Bosnia, that it will fall apart, they bring some retards to applaud him, and then when he comes to Sarajevo, he is smaller than a poppy seed," said Helez.

Commenting on the preparations for the reserve police force in Republika Srpska, Helez said that "Dodik only survives on stupidity."

"They scare us with Serbia, which has never been in a worse situation: it has problems with Kosovo, with the Preševo Valley, Sandžak, Vojvodina...", said Helez, adding that he personally has more friends among Serbs than Milorad Dodik does.

He also described the policies of the other two ethno-national parties in BiH, SDA and HDZ, as disastrous. Regarding HDZ, he said that Croats are leaving the areas where the party's president, Dragan Čović, governs.

"That is why it is wrong to equate HDZ with Croats," said Helez. He pointed out that Čović's rhetoric has become tiresome even for Croats in BiH, "which is why Čović lost the last elections."

The SDP Vice-President called for reforms within the country, which, as he said, will move citizens away from fear and violence, and bring them a higher standard of living.

Helez called for giving a chance to successful people in BiH, of whom there are many in BiH, he said, regardless of the bad political situation in the country.
