FBiH Vice President Refik Lendo opened the 9th Forestry Games of the Federation of BiH

(Patria) - The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, officially opened the 9th Forestry Games of the Federation of BiH, held in Olovo – Ajdinovići, organized by the Public Forestry Company of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

Addressing the attendees, Vice President Lendo emphasized that forestry is key to preserving nature, developing local communities, and the overall economic progress of the Federation of BiH.

“Forests are our common value and the green lungs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Your effort and dedication in preserving them deserve sincere respect and gratitude,” Lendo conveyed.

He also pointed out that forest resources are not only an economic potential but also part of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian society's cultural relationship with nature, and stressed the importance of adopting the Law on Forests of the FBiH, which will enable more efficient management, protection, and valorization of forest resources.

Vice President Lendo wished the participants successful competition, pleasant socializing, and fond memories from Olovo and Ajdinovići, with a message that this year's Forestry Games should proceed in the spirit of sport, friendship, and shared care for the forests of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representatives of public forestry companies from all over the Federation of BiH are participating in the 9th Forestry Games.
