Contracts Signed for Reconstruction of Road Infrastructure in Zenica-Doboj Canton

Director of the Federal Fund for Assistance to Disaster-Stricken Areas in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jasmin Jaganjac today in Zenica, together with the Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Munib Husejnagić, Zenica Mayor Husejin Smajlović, and director of the company “Komrad-Ze” Muhamed Šibonjić, signed a contract for the implementation of an urgent project for the remediation of a landslide and a section of the road to the village of Kolići, it was announced from the Government of FBiH, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

For this project, which is to be completed within 45 days after the contractor is engaged, the Federal Fund has allocated 166,000 convertible marks.

Today, based on the Decision of the Steering Board of the Federal Fund for Assistance to Disaster-Stricken Areas in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an additional 1,000,000 KM was allocated to Zenica-Doboj Canton, of which 700,000 KM is intended for the reconstruction of road infrastructure for Željezno Polje in the municipality of Žepče, and 300,000 KM for the reconstruction of the Nemila - Bistričak road in the municipality of Zenica. Also, 40,000 KM was allocated to the municipality of Gračanica for the joint financing of bridge construction.

During his stay in Zenica, Director Jaganjac also met with the Prime Ministers of Tuzla Canton Bahrija Umihanić and Posavina Canton Marijan Oršolić, Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamović, and UNDP Project Manager Edis Arifagić.

Otherwise, the Steering Board of the Federal Fund accepted the Report of Director Jasmin Jaganjac on the implementation of previous decisions related to determining criteria and allocating funds for the reconstruction of disaster-stricken areas.
