Agreement Signed on Maintaining Sports Registry Records

The signing of the agreement on maintaining Sports Registry Records for the Centar Municipality area took place at the premises of the Centar Municipality. The agreement, signed by the Mayor of Centar Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, was signed on behalf of the Sarajevo Canton Sports Association by its Secretary General, Tarik Curić, reports the Patria News Agency. 

The agreement stipulates that the Sarajevo Canton Sports Association will maintain records of sports organizations and associations from the Sarajevo Canton area, for which it will also organize a presentation of instructions for the proper application of sports organizations and facilities into the aforementioned registry.

- The Registry is a project of the Ministry of Sports and Culture of Sarajevo Canton, implemented by the KS Sports Association, and is foreseen by the cantonal Law on Sports. The Registry of sports organizations and associations is available on our website and can be used by all municipalities of Sarajevo Canton, as well as by business entities that support the work of sports collectives.

We will enable the Centar Municipality to access data on registered sports organizations and associations in its area free of charge in the near future – said Curić and invited all sports collectives from Centar to register with the Sarajevo Canton Sports Association. During the signing of the agreement, the Assistant to the Mayor of Centar Municipality for Education, Culture, and Sports, Zakira Šero, stated:

- The registry of sports organizations and associations will be useful when announcing public calls for project proposals in the field of sports for which financial support is sought from the budget of the Centar Municipality. Until now, between 150 and 200 sports organizations and associations applied for the public call we announce every year, many of which did not meet the basic requirements, which made the procedure difficult for us.

One of the conditions for the public call will be in the future that sports organizations or associations are registered in the Registry Records of the Sarajevo Canton Sports Association – said Šero, adding that the initiative for signing this agreement was also sent by the Commission for Sports of the Centar Municipal Council, it was announced from the Centar Municipality.
