Agreement signed for a project that will enrich content for the youngest visitors of Bjelašnica

(Patria) - Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton Adnan Delić signed an agreement with the director of KJP ZOI '84 Olympic Center Sarajevo d.o.o. Sarajevo Jasmin Mehić for co-financing and implementation of the project "Construction of a children's snow park in Babin Do on Bjelašnica".

With this agreement, the Ministry of Economy of KS supports the ZOI '84 project with 500,000 KM, while the mentioned company will provide the remaining costs necessary for the realization of this project.

"With the aim of improving and increasing competitiveness, both in the country and in the region, of the Bjelašnica Ski Center, we have prepared a project that will enrich the content on Bjelašnica for our youngest visitors. In January 2022, we will have a children's snow park in Babin Do, and we hope it will boost our season, given that all better-equipped ski resorts now organize special content for their youngest visitors," said the director of KJP ZOI 84 Jasmin Mehić.

As the Minister of Economy Adnan Delić pointed out, this is a project aimed at improving infrastructure for tourism development in the Sarajevo Canton.

"This project will certainly contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Bjelašnica as a tourist destination, through infrastructure improvement, development of recreational tourism, as well as increasing the number of visitors, i.e., users of services. Our goal is for Bjelašnica to once again be one of the best sports and recreational centers in the region and beyond, and that is why we are committed to investing in projects that will ensure this," stated Minister Delić, after signing this agreement.

The Minister also reminded that this is another in a series of projects that the Ministry is co-financing with the aim of improving the tourist offer on Bjelašnica and Igman, given that agreements have already been signed for co-financing the projects of constructing new vertical transport and reconstructing the existing system on Bjelašnica and Igman, as well as the first phase of the project for the construction and modernization of the parking system, video surveillance, and payment control, with a total value of 2.2 million KM.

"We will continue to invest in our mountains because we are aware of the potential we have for the development of all types of tourism that are popular today, both for foreign tourists and for our citizens," emphasized Minister Delić.

The start of the realization of the children's snow park project is planned for January 2022 and will last for two months, and the planned users are children aged three to 13.
