Agreement on Salary Basis Signed: Unions Give Consent to Zenica-Doboj Canton Budget for 2026

(Patria) - ZDC Prime Minister Nezir Pivić today signed an agreement on the salary basis and other benefits for the next year with representatives of the Police Union and state employees and officials in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of ZDC, as well as the Independent Union of State Employees and Officials in State Administration Bodies, Judiciary, and Public Institutions in FBiH.

The two mentioned unions, along with the Independent Union of Secondary and Higher Education, Upbringing, Science, and Culture of ZDC, gave their consent to the ZDC Government on the proposed ZDC budget for 2026. All unions praised the open approach and the Government's readiness for continuous social dialogue.



The signing of the agreement was also attended by the Minister of Finance Dženana Čišija, the Minister of Justice and Administration Nebojša Nikolić, and the Minister of Internal Affairs Emir Vračo.

- We have continued quality and open social dialogue with the unions, aiming for timely harmonization of issues important for public sector employees. We thank them for their understanding and fair approach.

The Government has committed to increasing salaries by at least 10 percent starting from July 1, 2026. As a result of good dialogue, a decision was also made to pay a bonus by the end of this year, as well as a bonus for the first six months of next year - said Prime Minister Pivić.



The Economic and Social Council for the Zenica-Doboj Canton previously supported the proposed ZDC budget for 2026, planned at 740,889,300 KM.

The importance of continuous and quality social dialogue was emphasized, recognized as an example of an effective cooperation model between partners in the process of preparing and harmonizing budget documents. It was assessed that timely discussions contribute to the stability and sustainability of cantonal finances.
