Protocol Signed at Centar Municipality: Nahorevo Home Receives 15,000 KM

A protocol for the allocation of 15,000 KM from the Centar Municipality budget to the Cantonal Public Institution "Home for Social Health Care of Persons with Disabilities and Other Persons" in Nahorevo was signed at the premises of the Centar Municipality Sarajevo, reports the Patria News Agency.

The protocol was signed by the Mayor of Centar Municipality, Dževad Bećirević, on behalf of the Municipality, and by the Director, Sanita Alagić, on behalf of the Home.

Director Alagić stated that the aforementioned amount will be used for the repair of damaged gutters and the replacement of worn-out carpentry, and that, thanks to this and previous donations from the Centar Municipality, the quality of life and living conditions for the users of this social and health institution are improving. 

-Mayor Bećirević and the Centar Municipality are a great support to our institution, and we are very grateful for that. The primary activity of the Home is the social and health care of adults with physical disabilities, including a significant number of veterans, with permanent developmental disabilities, mentally ill and chronically ill persons, as well as persons with specific illnesses, if there are no basic conditions for their accommodation in their own or another family, and hospital treatment is not necessary or has been completed.

We provide our users with services of permanent residence, nutrition, health care, nursing, professional social work, psycho-social assistance and support, work-creative and sports-recreational activities, as well as numerous cultural and entertainment events, Alagić emphasized.

The signing of the protocol was attended by the President of the Centar Municipal Council, Prof. Dr. Nedžad Ajnadžić, advisor to the municipal mayor, Mustafa Resić, and assistant mayor, Osmo Babić, head of the municipal Service for Labor, Health, and Social Affairs, according to information from the Centar Municipality.
