24 MPs Signed: What the Declaration on the Pelješac Bridge Contains

At the 51st session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a Declaration on the Pelješac Bridge was proposed, which has so far been signed by 24 MPs. In the Declaration, the MPs call on the competent authorities of the Republic of Croatia, i.e., the European Union, to immediately suspend all actions that could aim to diminish or completely abolish the sovereign rights of BiH on the sea, writes Patria agency.

The vote on this declaration will take place on September 13, when the session of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH, which was interrupted today, will continue.

As stated, it is necessary to undertake legal actions regarding the protection of the sovereign rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the sea, which includes initiating the procedure for exiting the temporary Border Agreement between BiH and Croatia, adopting a special law on the sea of BiH, and initiating legal procedures before international judicial bodies.

- The competent authorities of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union are called upon to engage in bilateral talks with BiH regarding the delimitation at sea on the principles of respecting the sovereign rights of BiH on the sea.
