Warrants for Thaci, Ceku, Limaj...

Pristina daily "Bota Sot" published on its front page photos of former KLA members who, according to the paper, the Special Court might indict for crimes, reports the news agency Patria.

The photos include Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hashim Thaci, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo Kadri Veseli and Daut Haliti, former Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the KLA Agim Ceku, MPs in the Assembly of Kosovo Saip Muja, Daut Haradinaj, Azem Syla, Fatmir Limaj, Lahi Ibrahimaj, as well as former KLA commander from 1997 to 1999 Bislim Zirapi.

In an article titled "War Commanders Will Be Investigated by Their Comrades Too," the daily "Bota Sot" states that Kosovo investigative police officers are beginning to join the Special Court, although they fear joining the international investigation team for moral reasons.

They fear that they will then be labeled and "accused" in Pristina for investigating their friends, comrades, and that they will endanger the "friends of the ideal" former illegal group's slogan. "Bota Sot" learned from Kosovo police sources that three months ago, a police officer who did not want to identify himself was invited to be part of the Special Court's investigation team.

"Three months ago, they called me and said they wanted me as an investigator," he said.

On the other hand, police officials say that Kosovo police have sufficient capacity to enforce the law.
