Parade in Butmir: 20 Years of EUFOR in BiH Marked

(Patria) - EUFOR marks 20 years of operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A parade of EUFOR soldiers was held at the Butmir base.



Over the previous days, EUFOR held a series of events dedicated precisely to its 20th anniversary in BiH.

“Through a strong partnership with local communities and institutions, we have supported a safer and more secure environment for all. From the hills in the north to the rivers in the south, and from the cities in the east to the villages in the west, EUFOR's mission has been clear: to help secure a future of prosperity and stability for this beautiful country.



As EUFOR reflects on the past two decades, we are reminded that peace is built through cooperation and trust. And with the continued support of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we look to the future. Forward, forward, together—EUFOR and Bosnia and Herzegovina, united in progress and security,” EUFOR stated.

On the occasion of marking the 20th anniversary, EUFOR stated that they proudly contribute to stability and peace in BiH.

"Over the past twenty years, we have cooperated very closely with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not only because we have a mandate to cooperate, train together, and conduct joint exercises, but because EUFOR has recognized the importance of the Armed Forces of BiH for the entire society in BiH, as well as for stability and security in this country," said Major General Laszlo Sticz.
