Observers Ignored Warnings That Deleting People Would Cause Trouble

A meeting of international observers and the civil sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina was recently held in Sarajevo, where it was announced that there would be a "statistical cleansing of data," reducing the number of inhabitants from the recorded 3,791,622 to 3.5 million.

Several observers from France and Denmark were warned at this meeting that this could lead to a political crisis in BiH, as deleting almost 300,000 people is not a small number and will significantly reduce the population of certain ethnic groups.

-They just shrugged. We explained to them that this number is large and asked on what basis they would delete the recorded people. The norm for deleting people will be the last 12 months of presence in a certain area – explained our source, adding that some will also be deleted based on their employment.
