Employers Request Thematic Session of the FBiH Government and Parliament, 24 Draft Laws Prepared

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Management Board of the Association of Employers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina unanimously adopted a conclusion requesting a special thematic session of the FBiH Government with the AEFBiH, as well as a joint thematic session of both houses of the FBiH Parliament and the AEFBiH. These thematic sessions would consider 24 draft laws prepared by the AEFBiH. 

Furthermore, the joint thematic sessions should consider six initiatives previously submitted to the Government and both houses of Parliament, which relate to the direct involvement of social partners in drafting legislative proposals. 

In this way, the AEFBiH provides a concrete contribution to improving the business environment with the aim of easing the burden on the economy and removing obstacles to faster growth and development. These conclusions were adopted at the session of the AEFBiH Management Board held today in Sarajevo. 

If the FBiH Government is not formed within the next month, the AEFBiH will, through talks with representatives of parliamentary parties, work to have the draft laws placed on the agenda of one of the upcoming sessions of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament by authorized proposers. The AEFBiH Management Board adopted a conclusion to extend the mandate of the negotiating team for conducting negotiations and concluding a collective agreement for the chemical and non-metal sector, while no mandate was adopted for the negotiating team for conducting negotiations for a collective agreement for the financial sector.  

The AEFBiH Management Board made a decision that the regular annual assembly of the AEFBiH will be held on March 27, 2019 in Sarajevo.
